Emma focuses on creating an individualized health plan for every patient based on the results of an in depth consultation. She then draws on her expertise in naturopathy, herbal medicine, homeopathy and nutritional sciences to determine what treatment is necessary.
Emma was inspired many years ago by observing old people on the magical Greek island of Ithaca - they ate simply, often what they grew themselves, they drank water from the local spring and they used the plants around them as medicine. Their eyes were shiny, they would dance all night at the village festivals and overall, radiate vitality. Emma now combines the experience of traditional medicine along with the scientific information of modern medicine to enable her clients to attain a high level of health and vitality.
Emma has a passion for organic food and advocates the benefits of using food as medicine. She is a nutritional consultant to various businesses including Camberwell Medical Centre and O Organic Produce.
In 2004 Emma went to Mumbai, India to study homeopathy with the masters. This involved a placement in a mission hospital and intensive training in a new method of homeopathic prescribing that is being pioneered by doctors in India.
Emma is a naturopathic consultant for the exclusive Golden Door Health Retreat located in the Hunter Valley – she runs the detoxification seminars as well as providing individual consultations.
Emma also practices from Darling Street Health Centre in Balmain (9555 8806) and Southside Health and Wellbeing in Hurstville (9579 2480).
