I will mark food items as follows:
C : Carbohydrate - P : Protein - F : Fat
Within a balanced meal you should have all 3. Make sure that the protein part is large enough.
Protein for a full meal, is equivalent to the palm of your hand
Snacks and Desserts equal one third of a full meal quantity.
1/4 cup low fat cottage cheese P
1/4 Cup raspberries and
1/4 Kiwi fruit and
1/4 Apple C
1 Macadamia Nut, crushed F
1/4 cup yogurt P - C
1/4 cupCottage cheese P
1/2 cup peaches C
1 tsp. Almonds chopped F1
1/8 tsp. Cardamon
Blend yogurt, cottage cheese and cardamom, pour over peaches, top with nuts.
*Will serve 4 adults
2 envelopes unflavoured Gelatin P
1 Cup plain low fat yogurt - P - C
1 Cup strawberries, hulled and pureed - C
1/2tsp. Honey C
4 Crushed Macadamia F
*Will serve 4 adults
1 cup low fat cottage cheese P
3/4 cup cantaloupe, cubed C
1/2 cup honey melon, - C
3/4 cup canned peaches - C
1/2 cup pineapple - C
4 tsp. slivered almonds F
30gr. low fat cheese P
1 Rye-vitta or Rice cake C
1 Tbs. Avocado F
1 level tbs. Soy or similar Protein Powder P
Add Juice of: C
1/3 cup Apple, or Orange
1/4 cup Cranberry, or Fruit punch or Pineapple,
or
1/2 cup Grape or 3/4 cup Tomato or V-8 juice
or
Fruit: C
1/4 cup Apple Sauce or 3 Apricots
or 1/2 cup Blackberries, or Fruit Cocktail or
Grapes, Peaches-canned, or
Pineapple-cubed, or Watermelon,
or 2/3 cup Raspberries or 1 cup Strawberries
Fats : Any of these fat choices F
1/3 tsp. Almond oil or Canola oil
or Peanunt oil
or Sesame oil
or 1/2 tbs. Tahini
or 1 tsp. Almonds, slivered
or 1 Macadamia nut
or 6 Peanuts
