Jin Shin Jyutsu® is an ancient oriental Art of balancing life energy within the body.
It involves the application of hands for gently balancing the flow of life energy in the body; more generally, it is the awakening to awareness of complete harmony within the self and the universe.
There are two important distinctions between Jin Shin Jyutsu and many other massage and oriental healing modalities to which it is often compared.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is not a physical manipulation of tissue and uses only minimal pressure.
The hands are used to unblock the flow of energy along its pathways.
In a typical Jin Shin Jyutsu session, which lasts about one hour, the receiver remains clothed and lies face- up. After "listening" to the energy pulses in the wrists, a practitioner employs a sequence of hand movements, appropriate for unblocking particular pathways and restoring the energy to the energy rhythm of the universe.
What is the difference between Acupressure and JJin Shin Jyutsu®?
Acupressure is a direct hand on pressure physical treatment aimed at unblocking meridians or manipulating muscles.
For self help, one needs to learn specific body part holding areas, such as holding a specific finger or holding an area of your feet with both hands.
For example, if you are suffering from light anxiety or fears, try holding your index finger for 20 to 30minutes one at a time, you can do that while watching television, or for Bloodpressure try holding your middle finger.
Here is a chart for finger holding points:
Jin Shin Jyutsu works by disolvoing energy blockages we may hold in our body triggered by common emotions or attitudes.
Worry - hold your thumbs - the underlying responsible organs are : Spleen / Stomach
Fear - hold index finger - the underlying responsible organs are : Bladder / Kideney
Anger - hold middle finger - the underlying responsible organs are : Liver / Gall Bladder
